Meet Dr. Buyer

Diane M. Buyer, D.D.S. is a third-generation Indiana dentist. Dr. Diane Buyer graduated from Indiana University in 1978, and then from the Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1982. Dr. Buyer has taught operative dentistry for several years while maintaining her private dental practice in Nora.

Professionally, Dr. Buyer is an active member of the Indianapolis District Dental Society, the Indiana Dental Association, the American Dental Association, and the American Association of Women Dentists. Dr Buyer is a contributing author to the Journal Indiana Dental Association and is a past editor of the JIDA. Dr. Buyer is a Fellow of the American College of Dentists (ACD), and is Editor of the News and Views newsletter of the Indiana Section of ACD.

Ethics continues to be a personal interest to Dr. Buyer. Through involvement with the American College of Dentists, Dr. Buyer works to develop and enhance ethics education for dental students and the profession. As an Indiana Dental Association member dentist, Dr. Buyer hopes to save a generation from significant dental decay from sugary, acidic drinks by taking a leadership role in the "Born to Smile" Program, as well as the "Drinks Destroy Teeth" Educational Campaign.

Dr. Diane Buyer loves the water! She makes her home on the beautiful White River with her husband, Mr. Tim Yale, three cats, and a very old sheltie. They are members of First Friends Meeting Indianapolis.
